The World Cyclist

I have been dreading coming to the north of Sweden due to fears of cold weather (my original route would have brought me here two or three weeks later). Faced with a delay of two days to get a ferry to Gdansk, I decided to bite the bullet and returned to my original route. I’ve made it to Umea fairly painlessly, tho the last two days have been lightweight, low mileage ones. I’m couch-surfing today so I’ll probably take it easier today too ( more like a holiday than a world record attempt!)
I will head North along the coast of Sweden and then drop into Finland hopefully in a couple of days for the ride down towards Helsinki. Weather forecasts look fairly optimistic…
