There have been so many specıal people along thıs journey, ıt ıs dıffıcult to pıck out ındıvıduals. For theır consıstent support over a perıod of tıme, Julıe, Neah and Mıke deserve recognıtıon. For theır total commıttment over more than 24 hours, Ruslan and Rostislav deserve mentıon.

The last day in Finland was frustrating as it was only about 100 km and I was looking forward to some admin time. It took most of the day and I got the last ferry to Estonia only thanks to a lift from John, many thanks indeed for the help with the post too.
Estonia was a bit windy too and I lost 25km after discovering the loss of my bank card, which has been fantastic; I rely heavily on all the stuff I carry – need to look after it more…
Things were going well ’till I got about 65 km north of Vilnius. I had to navigate side roads and got my 4th puncture. I’d high hopes of a big mileage day ending with a night in Vilnus. In the end I stopped 50 km short, had a late start and a royal fiasco with the puncture involving a failed repair, a ride in a police car to get a new tube, returning the tube as it was a shrader valve and useless, a successful repair and a bus ride into Vilnus. A coach to Warsaw followed (all nighter) and I’m now waiting for a train to the Ukraine.
Will try to upload photos….
